Flocked wallpaper is steeped in heritage, going back hundreds of years. Erica Wakerly has re-invented the flocked finish for contemporary spaces.

"My interest in flock goes back to my time at the Royal College of Art, where I learnt to flock fabric by hand. I was inspired to reinvent the technique, as I have done previously with metallics, and create an unexpected collision between motif and material.

Although flock has a strong heritage, my interest was with how I could work with the material in a minimal way, exploring its pure qualities of light absorption - using the richest black flock - and its 3D texture, with the sculptural white flock on white ground finishes - Scoop and Buzz."

The velvet flock finish is inherently soft and comforting and helps to soften the acoustics in a room.

The papers are robust, easy to install and commercially fire rated.
